Pro career: Copeland has got game, just ask him… Electric wide out armed with dependable hands as well as an overwhelming enthusiasm for the game… Recognized as an instinctive receiver who has uncanny ability to make plays… Held pro football record for most receptions in a game until it was recently snapped by the 49ers Terrell Owens… 2000: Although selected in the 22nd round of the NFLE free agent draft, Copeland thrived as rookie receiver for Barcelona Dragons in NFL Europe… Became favorite target of Dragon two-headed quarterback monster of Tony Graziani and Cory Sauter… Ended season as league leader in receptions with 74, setting new NFLE record for most catches in a single-season… Also finished second in the league in receiving yards (821) and third in total yards (821), one spot ahead of Xtreme teammate Damon Dunn of Berlin… Led Dragons with six touchdowns… Against Frankfurt Galaxy set pro football record with 19 receptions (164 yards) in a single game breaking previous record of 18 set by Tom Fears of Los Angeles Rams in 1950… Copeland’s record was recently snapped by the San Francisco 49ers’ Terrell Owens, who made 20 catches for 283 yards against the Chicago Bears (12/17)…

College: 1998: Started as a senior on Volunteers’ National Championship team… Top-ranked Volunteers beat Florida State that season in Fiesta Bowl to capture the first-ever BCS Championship… Member of SEC Championship team for second straight year.. 1997: As a junior helped lead Volunteers to SEC Championship… Was one of favorite targets of quarterback Peyton Manning, eventual fist pick of the 1998 NFL draft… Second that season on Volunteers in receptions with 58, just seven behind Marcus Nash (also an eventual first round NFL Draft choice)… Served as Manning’s back-up at QB freshman and sophomore seasons… Originally recruited at Tennessee as a quarterback…

Personal: Born in Harriman, Tennessee… Earned All-State and All-Region honors at Harriman High School as a quarterback… Player of the year in Tennessee for both football and basketball his senior year… While out of football worked for Sampson’s Janitorial Service… First team trash-talker… Good friends with actor Will Smith and singer Tisha Campbell… Has already developed touchdown dance called the X-Spot… “I can’t wait to drop an X on somebody,” says Copeland… Single, Jeremaine has a son, Jerome (8-31-99)… Jeremaine resides in Harriman, Tennessee…
