College: Started both years at UCLA… Left Bruins as a sophomore as the only player in Pac-10 history to throw for more than 5,000 yards by the end of sophomore year… Finished career at UCLA with 5,363 yards, completing 391 of 670 passes with 33 touchdowns… 1991: As a sophomore was named first team All-America while leading Bruins to 9-3 victory in John Hancock Bowl… Played in all 12 games, completing 209 of 343 passes for 2,681 yards and 16 touchdowns… In season finale, completed a season-high 22 of 32 passes for 236 yards and one TD to beat Trojans… 1990: Started in nine games as a freshman… Had break through performance in what many consider best USC-UCLA game ever… Completed 26 of 40 passes for school record 409 yards and three touchdowns before falling to the Trojans 45-42 at the Rose Bowl…

Personal: Born in Shreveport, Louisiana… As a senior at LD Bell High School (Hurst, TX) was considered by many experts as the nation’s top prep quarterback… Lettered in football, basketball, and baseball… Took two years off from football to run and own a local branch of All-State insurance company, which he sold last year… Runs two football camps in North Texas… Also volunteers for Athletes in Action... Scratch golfer who once shot even par at storied Pebble Beach… Married, he and wife Jennifer have two children, Kacy (9-15-93) and Colby (5-18-99)… Family resides in Trophy Club, TX…
