Professional Football: Originally drafted by the Chicago Bears in the seventh round (223 overall) of the 2000 NFL draft…imposing physical athlete…has tremendous speed for an end… released by Bears before the regular season.

College Football: Began career at Cuyahoga Community College…transferred to Ohio State from Community College of San Francisco in January of 1998...a two-time all-California JUCO selection who was a JUCO All-American in 1997 after recording 100 tackles and eight quarterback sacks...at OSU moved from outside linebacker to defensive end in 1998 and lettered…played in all 12 games in ‘98, including the Nokia Sugar Bowl and finished the season with 16 stops, including three tackles for loss, three passes broken up and a forced fumble…became a regular midway through the '99 season…recorded 56 tackles, including 11 for loss and five sacks…majored in sociology.

Personal: Full name is James Antwane Cotton…nicknamed Twane…lettered in football, basketball and baseball at Collinwood High School in Cleveland, OH…earned all-state honors in football and baseball and All-American honors in football…son of James Graham and Catherine Cotton…accomplished billiards player…lists tennis as most intimidating non-football skill…single, resides in Columbus, Ohio.
