Professional Football: Talented, steady punter with strong, quick leg who has doubled as capable kickoff man and holder for place kicks during pro career…originally signed as a free agent by Miami in 1994…released prior to the season…signed with San Diego in 1995…was released prior to the season…was a late addition to the Raiders active roster in 1996...punted in the final three games totaling 13 for 534 yards with an average of 41.0 yards per punt...placed four punts inside the 20…set multiple Raider single-season records in first full season (1997)…punted 93 times on the year with a 45-yard average including a long of 63 yards...placed 28 punts inside the 20 with six touchbacks… credited with one rushing attempt for no gain on an aborted PAT…became the single- season yardage leader to the Raiders with 3,937 surpassing former Raiders great Ray Guy who posted 3,809 yards in 1984…in 1998, again set Raiders single season record for most punting yards with 4,256...also held kickoff duties for majority of season with 44 kicks, placing seven in the end zone with four going for touchbacks...set an NFL record in punting attempts in a single game with 16 vs. San Diego on 10/11/98...posted career-long 64 yard punt on 11/29/00 vs. Washington…saw action in all 16 league games for the Raiders in 1999...had 76 punts for 3,045 yards for an average of 40.1 per punt...tied for fourth in NFL for fewest touchbacks with four...tied for seventh in AFC for punts placed inside opponents 20-yard line with 25.
