How Acquired: Supplemental Draft

Professional Football: Originally signed with the Oakland Raiders in 1995…appeared in two games during the 1996 season…was out of football in 1997…signed with the New Orleans Saints in 1998…was released after training camp…re-signed with the Raiders as a free agent on 1/15/99…caught three passes for 21 yards and one touchdown during the preseason…was released on 9/5/99.

College Football: Alcorn State University…holds school records for touchdowns (26) and receiving yards in one game (13 catches for 316 yards against Tennessee-Chattanooga)…finished career with 112 catches for 2,392 yards, third-most in school history.

Personal: Out of football in 1997, Hinton pulled down a meager paycheck working in a sawmill in his hometown of Wiggins, Miss.
