IN MEMORIAM: Troy died on June 1, 2001, due to complications from a blood clot following knee surgery.  Troy was found in his Peachtree City, GA, home.  The blood clot was thought to have jarred loose during intense physical therapy and it then travelled to his lungs.  Troy is survived by his wife, Kelly, and twin sons from a previous marriage.

Professional Football: Originally signed by Green Bay as an undrafted free agent in 1996…was traded to the New York Jets before the regular season began…played one season for the Jets…was released after training camp in 1997.

College Football: University of Georgia…four-year letter winner…set school record with 38 consecutive starts at offensive tackle…named to the All-SEC first team during his junior and senior campaigns…also was a two-time SEC All-Academic selection…earned two bachelors degrees (economics and real estate).

Personal: Lettered in football and wrestling at Canandaigua (N.Y.) Senior Academy…earned all-state and All-American accolades as tight end…was two-time state wrestling champion.
