Professional Football: Was a seventh round selection of the Baltimore Ravens in the 1997 NFL Draft…made roster as the Ravens' third quarterback, but did not take a snap...allocated to the London Monarchs (NFLE) in 1998, where he finished 19 of 43 for 194 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions...signed with the Atlanta Falcons as a free agent in 12/99.

College Football: Penn State University… four-year letter winner…four-time Academic All-Big Ten...holds Penn State's lowest interception percentage mark…his 378 completions rank second in Nittany Lions annals behind Tony Sacca (401, 1988-91)...his 4,419 passing yards rank fourth on Penn State's all-time record chart...was named All-Big Ten Conference honorable mention in 1996...started every game for an offense that had only three starters returning from the previous season...completed 145 of 279 passes (52.1 percent) for 1,732 yards and seven touchdowns...was GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-District and All-Big Ten Conference Academic Team pick in 1995...Started 11 games...connected on 193 of 335 passes (57.6 percent) for 2,198 yards, 18 touchdowns and only six interceptions...his 2,198 yards rank fifth on PSU's all-time list behind Todd Blackledge (2,218 in 1982), Chuck Fusina (2,221 in 1977), Tony Sacca (2,488 in 1991) and current New York Giant Kerry Collins (2,679 in 1994)...his 33 completions broke the school record of 28 by Collins vs. Brigham Young in 1992...was an Academic All-Big Ten Conference choice in 1994...earned bachelor’s degree in administration and justice…graduated in 12/96 with a 3.19 GPA

Personal: Full name is Wallace Herbert Richardson, Jr…nicknamed Wally…was Gatorade Circle of Champions' South Carolina Player of the Year, adding Parade All-America, All-State, All-Region and team Most Valuable Player honors as a senior at Sumter (SC) High School...led team to a pair of state class AAAA Big 16 titles...directed the South Carolina All-Stars to a win over the North Carolina squad in the 1991 Shrine Bowl... lettered three times, starting his final two seasons on the basketball team...testified before a Senate Judiciary subcommittee in defense of the current bowl alliance... father, Wallace, played football at South Carolina State before earning NFL tryouts with Denver and Baltimore (Colts)... participated in a fundraiser for Toys for Tots last Christmas and is a willing volunteer to work with students...single, resides in Suwanee, Ga.
