| Position: DB How Acquired: D1-3 5-11 190 12-22-73 Last Team: Scotland (NFLE) Hampton '97 NFL Games/Starts: 11-0 Career: Owns the distinction of being a high draft selection in two leagues, giving credence to the need for outstanding cover cornerbacks . Picked in the third round, the 22nd overall selection, by San Francisco of the XFL after a second-round acquisition by Jacksonville in the 1998 NFL distribution of collegiate talent . Joined Demons teammate Steve Scifres as mid-season signees with Scotland of NFL Europe last summer and keeping the Claymores on course for the World Bowl . Survived auto accident in Jacksonville night prior to Jaquars first-ever playoff game when car flipped five times . Recruited at Hampton as a receiver, but was shifted to defense during his redshirt freshman season. 2000: Offered to Scotland by the Chicago Bears and chipped in with six tackles on defense, another on special teams and two defensed passes while with Claymores, beaten by Rhein in the World Bowl . Had been signed by Bears late in 1999 season. 1999: Began the year with Jacksonville, but was traded to Seattle in September and saw action in two games with Seahawks during a five-week stint . Obtained by Chicago with one game left in the season, but was inactive with the Bears in the finale against Tampa Bay. 1998: Collected six tackles on special teams, his main source of playing time, but also represented Jacksonville defensively in two contests, including an October-November skirmishs at Denver and Baltimore . Hampered by turf toe most of the season and underwent surgery on it and his right knee after the season. College: Started 41 of 44 games and last 33 in succession over four years at Hampton in a career resplendent with big plays . Pilfered nine passes, swarmed for three quarterback sacks, recovered three fumbles and forced two and piled up 152 tackles .
