THUNDERBOLTS TAKE TO BIRMINGHAM AIRWAVES
Players Host Tuesday Radio Show, Thursday TV Show February 6, 2001

Matt Hogg and Ryan Thomassie are out to disprove the age-old notion that offensive linemen cant carry on a conversation when they co-host Bolts Buzz from Damons in Hoover Tuesday night. Thomassie and Hogg will join WJOXs Scott Griffin on the live show.

Bolts Buzz gets underway at 7 p.m. WJOX-AM 690 and will feature different Birmingham Thunderbolts players each week, as well as members of the staff. Bolts fans are encouraged to come out and meet additional members of the Birmingham team at Damons each week.

On Thursday night linebacker James Willis and receiver Damon Gourdine will give their best effort to upstage Hogg and Thomassie by co-hosting the XFL Blitz, the weekly television show taped at Wings at Brook Highlands. Taping begins at 7 p.m.

Gourdine and Willis will co-host the show with WVTM-TV sports director Jim Dunaway. Bolts fans are also urged to come to Wings to take part in the show. The show airs on WVTM-TV each Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. as a lead-in the NBC feature XFL game.

Gourdine scored the first touchdown in Bolts history in the loss to Memphis last week, while Willis racked up a team-high 12 tackles.
