XFL appoints former NFL player and scout Quintin Smith to front office post for Chicago team
Stamford, CT/Chicago, IL June 13, 2000

The XFL, a new professional football league jointly owned and operated by World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc. (NMS: WWFE) and NBC, has appointed Quintin Smith as Director of Player Personnel for its Chicago team. The XFL's inaugural season kicks off on February 3, 2001.

Mike Keller, Vice President of Football Operations for the XFL said that Quintin is a great fit for the Chicago team. "He brings strong hands-on NFL scouting experience, as well as playing experience on both the college and professional level to the XFL," he added.

Smith launched his front office career as an intern for the University of Kansas' Department of Athletics while earning his masters in Sports Administration and Management. In 1994, he joined the Kansas City Chiefs and spent five years as a College Scout. Most recently, he was a College Scout for the NFL's Minnesota Vikings. Smith played football at the University of Kansas, where he distinguished himself as a wide receiver, earning All-Conference honors and being recognized as an honorable mention All-American. In 1990, he signed with the Chicago Bears as a free agent and was a member of the team for two seasons.

Quintin has a M.S. in Sports Administration and Management and a B.S. in Political Science/International Relations from the University of Kansas. He currently resides in Missouri City, Texas, with his wife Rhonda and son Grayson.
