Press Release 10
Bishop and Rogers to Miss Remainder of Season
Feb. 14, 2001

CHICAGO— Chicago Enforcers offensive tackle Octavious Bishop and linebacker Brian Rogers will both miss the remainder of the season due to season-ending injury suffered in the Enforcers game at Los Angeles last Saturday night.

Bishop fractured his tibia and fibula of his left leg in the second half against the Xtreme. He had successful surgery at Edwards’s Hospital in Naperville, Ill. on Feb. 12 but will miss the remainder of the year. Rogers also suffered a season-ending injury when he tore the ACL in his right knee.

Savia and Timmons Activated
With the two season-ending injuries, the Enforcers added guard Manuia Savea to the roster. The 6-2, 300-pound Arizona product was a 22nd round pick of the Enforcers in the XFL draft but released during training camp. He will wear number 64.

Also activated was linebacker Carlos Timmons, who has been on the injured/practice squad the first two weeks of the season.

Perez Doubtful
Enforcers starting left tackle Christopher Perez is doubtful for Sunday’s game at Birmingham. During the Xteme game last Saturday, Perez was injured in the second quarter as he suffered a left knee and ankle sprain.
