Boyd Stadium received an opening night treat as the hometown Las
Vegas Outlaws shot down the NY/NJ Hitmen 19-0 in the first ever
XFL game.
Outlaw Paul McCallum got his team on the board first by nailing
a 23 yard field goal in the first quarter and the Outlaws never
looked back.
Not wanting to be outdone by their offense, the hardcore Outlaw
defense made plays all night. Hitmen QB Chalres Puleri was never
able to find his rhythm as the Outlaws seemed to be right in his
face every time he dropped back. And the running game did not
fair any better for the boys from the big city.
