Criner Comments on Seven All-XFL Outlaws
The XFL named a league-high seven members of the Las Vegas Outlaws to its inaugural All-League Team, as voted by players and coaches at the conclusion of the regular season. No other XFL squad placed more than three players on the All-XFL Team.

Outlaws Add Another Receiver
Facing a must-win game this Sunday against the San Francisco Demons, the Las Vegas Outlaws again added another offensive weapon to the roster, claiming WR Tavarus Hogans from the XFL Player Pool. Hogans, a 5-10, 191-lb. speedster out of Vanderbilt University, spent last fall in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ training camp with current Outlaws wideout Yo Murphy.

Outlaws add two more offensive players
With destiny in their hands entering Saturday’s nationally-televised contest against the division-leading Los Angeles Xtreme, the resurgent Las Vegas Outlaws (4-3) added two players Monday to the offensive side of the ball. Outlaws Head Coach Jim Criner claimed offensive center/guard Aaron Graham and wideout Eric Guliford from the XFL player pool. In order to make room on the team’s roster, tackle Eric Bateman and WR Todd Floyd were waived.

Simpson named Defensive Player of the Week
The XFL named Los Angeles Xtreme QB Tommy Maddox as its Offensive Player of the Week and Las Vegas Outlaws DT Carl Simpson as its Defensive Player of the Week for week seven. The award winners will meet head-to-head when the Xtreme (5-2) and the Outlaws (4-3) battle for first place in the Western Division this Saturday at the Los Angeles Coliseum (8:00 p.m. ET on NBC).

Outlaws get lineman in trade
Las Vegas sent safety Toby Wright to San Francisco in exchange for offensive lineman Tony Berti. Berti, a veteran of the NFL, expects to be in a Las Vegas uniform against Orlando this Saturday.

Veteran wide receiver rejoins Criner
The Outlaws brought aboard wide receiver Yo Murphy Monday to give depth to an injury-plagued receiving corps. Murphy, a forcer Tampa Bay Buccaneer and Minnesota Viking, rejoins his NFL Europe coach Jim Criner in Las Vegas.

Quarterback Mike Cawley was waived to make room on the roster for new QB Mark Grieb, who brings years of Arena Football League and NFL Europe experience to the Outlaws.

Las Vegas Outlaws Head Coach Jim Criner complied with the XFL’s roster mandate of 55 active players by 9:00 a.m. PT Monday by waiving three individuals and placing two others on the league’s Reserve – Injured list.
