2001: Re-signed with Denver as a backup guard and center, he rejoined the team that he earned two Super Bowl rings with. 2000: Characterized as a late bloomer, he has proven to be one of the sport’s most persistent performers …. Possesses the spoils of two Super Bowl victories with the Denver Broncos, a team for which he toiled three NFL seasons …. Believed to have been the oldest player to make his first NFL start when he was introduced at center for a November, 1996 game at Minnesota at age 32 …. Boasts 60 professional appearances in all, including seven in post-season play and nine starts and seven openings during the 1997 season …. After achieving honorable mention all-America honors at San Jose State, he played in three games during the 1987 players’ strike with San Diego, then didn’t see action in an NFL game action for eight years, 10 months and 14 days. 2000: Re-signed by Denver after his release by Philadelphia, but didn’t make the Broncos’ roster. 1999: Signed with Eagles after first week of season, then began unique system of alternating by quarters with teammate Jeff Dellenbach through the last 14 games at right guard in addition to handling all the snapping chores. 1998: A pre-season knee injury and the subsequent arthroscopic surgery shortened his season to 10 games during the season … In the post-season run to Super Bowl No. 2, performed only the kick-snapping duties …. 1997: Started five times at left guard for Mark Schlereth and twice in place of Brian Habib at right guard … Also played in the NFL Wild Card victory over Jacksonville during the four-game playoff title run …. 1995-96: After waiting out the 1995 season on the practice squad, took the field in nine games in ’96, including the starts at Minnesota and San Diego and extensive action at Cincinnati in September. 1993-94: After the suspension of the World League, played two seasons with the CFL Sacramento Gold Miners and was a strong candidate for offensive lineman of the year in 1994. 1991-92: Played for former San Jose State and Stanford coach Jack Elway in two years with Frankfurt Galaxy of the World League of American Football, splitting 20 games and not making the playoffs in 1991 despite the league’s third-best record.

College Career
Started more than 30 games at San Jose State, then only thing keeping him from starting every game of his career was a 1984 knee injury after two games …. Also earned all-West Coast and all-Pacific Coast Athletic Association honors following senior season.
