General Manager

Key figure in USC football dynasty of the early 70’s is back in the game he loves as Vice President and General Manager of the Xtreme. No stranger to the LA Coliseum (the home of the Xtreme) McKay was a member of two national title teams (1972, 1974) as a Trojan. J.K. also did some damage in the Rose Bowl, winning the game’s MVP in 1975 and was recently inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame. After graduation, McKay spent three seasons in the NFL (1976-1979) as a receiver with the expansion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. J.K’s brother Rich currently serves as the General Manager of the Bucs.

Following football, McKay spent 15 years as a lawyer becoming a partner at the firm of Allen Matkins Leik Gamble and Mallory in 1986. Two years later, J.K. joined Majestic Realty and New Coliseum Partners in the effort bring an NFL Expansion franchise to Los Angeles. In July, McKay was hired by the XFL to lead the Xtreme, returning pro football to Los Angeles for the first time in five years.
