Western Division Champs
The Los Angeles Xtreme (7-3), the highest scoring team in the XFL, will host the Chicago Enforcers this Sunday, April 15 at the Los Angeles Coliseum at 4 pm pacific in the semifinals of the XFL playoffs. The game will be televised on UPN. The Enforcers (5-5) earned the final XFL playoff spot out of the Eastern Division with a 24-6 victory over the Orlando Rage (8-2) Sunday night in Chicago.

Xtreme a Win Away From First Division Title
For the LAX of XFL it’s one down, one to go with two to play. The Los Angeles Xtreme (6-2) needed a win over the Las Vegas Outlaws Saturday night in front of 20, 132 at the Los Angeles Coliseum to clinch its first playoff birth in team history. The Xtreme did just that handing the Outlaws a 35-26 defeat to sweep the season series with its division rival.

The XFL today named Los Angeles Xtreme QB Tommy Maddox as its Offensive Player of the Week and Las Vegas Outlaws DT Carl Simpson as its Defensive Player of the Week for week seven. The award winners will meet head-to-head when the Xtreme (5-2) and the Outlaws (4-3) battle for first place in the Western Division this Saturday at the Los Angeles Coliseum (8:00 p.m. ET on NBC).

The Rock says football will return to Los Angeles
Saturday, February 10, 2001 football will return to Los Angeles solid as a rock when the Los Angeles Xtreme host the Chicago Enforcers in the first pro football game in L.A. since December 24, 1994. According to XFL officials, The Rock, one of the stars of the World Wrestling Federation is expected to make an appearance this Saturday at the first home game in Xtreme history.

The Xtreme returned to Los Angeles Friday evening from its month long training camp in Las Vegas. The Xtreme practiced outside Sam Boyd Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Outlaws, for the entire month of January before returning to its practice facility at Long Beach City College.

Xtreme Loses Veteran LB Mike Croel to Retirement
It was a case of “good news, bad news” off the transaction wire this afternoon for the Xtreme. The bad news was the decision Wednesday morning by NFL veteran linebacker Mike Croel to retire and leave the Xtreme training camp. Several minor injuries have slowed down the former NFL first round draft choice the past two years.
