XTREME BOLSTER FRONT LINES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL
March 8, 2001

Los Angeles, CA -- The Los Angeles Xtreme welcomed back two lineman this afternoon-each from opposite ends of the ball. Both were injured on the Xtreme's opening day in San Francisco.

Defensive end Dave Richie and Bobby Singh, the Xtreme's opening day starter at left guard, worked out Wednesday for the first time since being injured February 4 in the Xtreme's opening day loss to the San Francisco Demons at Pac Bell Park.

Richie, recovering from a MCL sprain of his right knee was activated on Tuesday and placed on the practice squad today. Richie practiced with the team this morning.

Singh, also recovering from an MCL sprain, but of his left knee, underwent a limited work out under the supervision of Xtreme Head Trainer Ulysses Byas. Activated today, Singh is expected to practice for the first time with the team on Thursday.

To make room on the forty-five man roster for Singh and Richie, the Xtreme waived safety Tinker Keck and wide receiver Todd Doxzon. Doxzon, who was also placed on injured reserve following the Demons' game, is the first player in Xtreme history to win the scramble for the ball.

Keck, who was active for three games, made a key interception late in the fourth quarter against the Outlaws in Week Three to set up the 48-yard game winning field goal by Jose Cortez in the Xtreme's dramatic 12-9 victory at Las Vegas. Keck was replaced on the Xtreme's active roster last week for the Hitmen game by recently acquiring safety Ron Carpenter.

The Xtreme face the Birmingham Bolts this Sunday at 4p.m. Pacific at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama.

The game will be televised nationally on UPN.
