The following players of the Los Angeles Xtreme of the XFL will wear their nicknames on the back of their jerseys this Saturday against the Chicago Enforcers.

Name - Nickname

Clifton Abraham - Lil’ Buddy
Xplained: Cornerback from Florida St. somehow survives with the big boys at 5’9’’, 188 pounds. Got nickname as a Seminole for being friends with everybody off the field while also being enemy number one on it. Used to hang around defensive lineman and offensive lineman who of course dwarfed their lil’ buddy…

Todd Doxzon - Col. 3:17
Xplained: From passage in the Bible, Reads: ”Whatever you do in word or deed you do unto the Lord, giving thanks to God the Father.” A devout Christian, Todd leans on Rams quarterback Kurt Warner for guidance. Both from Iowa, Warner and Doxzon often work out together in the off-season.

Jason Shelley - $helley
Xplained: Spent week one on the practice squad. Got nickname because his hands are always money. Was second on the Amsterdam Admirals in receptions last year for Coach Lu. Also money on the baseball diamond, $helley played three years of minor league baseball in the Atlanta Braves organization.

Reggie Durden - Dirty Durden
Xplained: Even at 5’8, 160lbs, Durden not afraid to mix it up with the big boys. Makes up for his lack of size with 4.3 speed. Also comfortable enough with his manhood to sing in the church choir.

Rashaan Shehee - The Truth
Xplained: Got nickname from family and friends from his outstanding play on the basketball court as nedteen-ager. Rashaan is South Central born and raised, his mother works as an elementary school teacher just minutes from the Coliseum. When asked what players should fear about him the most, Rashaan says, “space.”

Dell McGee - A-1
Xplained: Got nickname from his childhood friends in Georgia because he was the best in baseball, football and basketball. According to Dell it comes from the slogan “The best sauce on the steak is A-1” so it was a natural that the best athlete at Kendrick High School (GA) was called A-1.

Ken Oxendine - Ox
Xplained: Actually grew up as Little Ox. Ken’s older brother, Terrell, was known as Big Ox. Terrell, who was Ken’s role model and mentor, turned down several college baseball scholarship offers to join the marines to help support his mother and grandmother. Ken’s mom is currently on dialysis and has suffered from kidney failure for the past five years.

Donnell Day - D-Day
Xplained: Its D-Day for receivers that come Donnel’s way. Former Cal St. Northridge star got crash course in intensity (perfect for XFL) working as child care worker for emotionally abused children in San Diego area.

Juan Long - Juanito
Xplained: Got the name in the Barcelona when he was playing for Barcelona Dragons of NFL Europe. Became term endearment meaning “Little Johnny” for bilingual player who used to do interviews in Spanish.

Errick Herrin - E-rupt
Xplained: Homeboys back in Akron, Ohio gave him the name before he left for Xtreme training camp in Las Vegas because they felt Errick was going to re-emerge like lava from a volcano as a destructive force in pro football. Honed that intensity as a Marine who served six months in Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf conflict. Was within 20 miles from debris of Patriot missile that was hit by a scud missile that landed on a US barracks and killed several US Soldiers.

Chris Brymer - BRYMZ
Xplained: Kind of like a vanity plate for this big boy’s back. Played three years in the Coliseum as a Trojan. In same high school graduating class as Solie Moon Frye a..k.a Punky Brewster. Isn’t that special.

Jerry Crafts - Big Daddy
Xplained: The Xtreme’s largest player at 6’5, 380lbs, Crafts is a real Big Daddy with three children of his own. Crafts tries to balance his family with the life of a football hitch-hiker who has played in every existing pro football league including the NFL, NFLE, AFL,CFL and now the XFL. Warrior played 42 weeks of pro football last year in the CFL and AFL.

Nate Miller - Big Nate
Xplained: Big Nate is 6’4, 320 lbs with a big appetite for comic books. His collection of comics has reached over 1,000 issues. Fittingly enough, Nate’s most expensive book is an X-Men comic worth over $1,000. Was briefly called “The Spatula” by teammates on the Falcons when he played with a cast on his fractured left hand.

Eric Johnson - E. Jilla
Xplained: College teammates at Idaho St. used to call him E. Jilla the offensive line killa. Also kills them on special Teams. EJ is the rare 270 pounder who comes flying down field to cover kicks.

Jamal Duff - Death Blow
Xplained: Chose name for himself after underground black comic strip character. Death Blow also has introspective side as an abstract painter. Tallest player on the Xtreme at 6’7 along with Mondo.

Ramondo Stallings - Mondo
Xplained: Stallings is wordly in knowledge and size, the 6’7 275 pound defensive end is an avid reader who also enjoys pounding quarterbacks into submission. In media guide questionnaire, Stallings wrote he “particularly enjoyed sacking Ty Detmer of BYU.”
