Press Release 11
Rage and XFL Go International

The Orlando Rage and XFL went "international" on Tuesday when the team was visited by the German Flag Football National Championship team. The squad was in the Orlando area for a week of training before the start of the World Cup Championships starting January 19 in Cocoa Beach, Fla.

The 32-man squad won the right to participate in the tournament by winning the German National Championship Tournament earlier this month. They will compete against 11 other countries for the World Cup Flag Football Championship this weekend.

At Wednesday's practice, the team watched the Rage's afternoon workout before mingling with the players and getting autographs. German team advisor Wolfgang Kluess, who now lives in Orlando, arranged for the visit, citing Rage Head Coach Galen Hall's seven seasons as Head Coach of the Rhein Fire of NFL-Europe.

"Galen Hall is a well known name and hero of the German football fan," Kleuss said. "Everyone who follows American football in Germany knows that he led the Fire to a pair of championships and they revere the fact that he brought championships to Germany."
