Rashaan Shehee is an established NFL running back the Xtreme were thrilled to snag with 49th pick in the 2000 XFL Draft. A Los Angeles native, Shehee was also pumped about being selected by the Xtreme. Although he played his high school football in Bakersfield and college ball at UW, Shehee has 25 to 30 relatives in the immediate LA are looking for duckets for the Xtreme’s home opener February 10, 2001. In fact, according to Rashaan, he might not have jumped on board the XFL train if his first stop wasn’t in LA.

In Rashaan’s own words:

“If I wasn’t picked by the Xtreme I don’t know if I would have played. Either way I think the league’s great, it’s just I really wanted to be here. I wanted to be at home with family and friends so they could all see me play.”

Rashaan is also grateful to be on the Xtreme for the chance to rediscover the fun in football…

“I look at this as a step forward, getting back to enjoying the game. That’s why I’m really doing this. This is going to be competitive, no doubt, but in the NFL it seems like the league too often takes the fun out of the game. The XFL is going to bring the fun back.”

That fun begins in LA February 10, 2001 at the Coliseum. Get your season tickets now right here on Los Angeles Xtreme.com.

X-Files
(Where you can find more Xtreme stories on the net, on the tube, over the radio or in the paper)

Sunday night following the Ravens waxing the Cowboys on Fox-11 in Los Angeles, reporter Lisa Guererro went live from the Team X mini camp at the Coliseum. Lisa goofed around with quarterback Tommy Maddox, who played along gamely. Tight end Josh Wilcox also refused to let the camera intimidate him. Lisa plans on returning to Camp X in December to cover the team on a regular basis.

Lisa goofs around with some of the Xtreme. Also keep your eyes peeled for stories in Newsweek and Maxim on the XFL and the Xtreme.
