December mini-camp notes day 4

The departure of Jeff Brohm to the Cleveland Browns has opened up competition at quarterback this week… "One less guy in the rotation, so the other guys are going to get extra work," Head Coach Galen Hall said. "It's certainly a chance for one of the three to step up and get noticed."…Brohm's departure left Leon Murray (Tennessee State), Brian Kuklich (Wake Forest) and Aaron Garcia (Sacramento State) in the mix…Hassan Shamsid-Deen has been quietly having a nice little mini-camp…the former Arena Football League (Grand Rapids) and North Carolina State star has had a couple interceptions this week…Wide receiver Matt Bumgardner (Texas A&M) sat out Wednesday workouts with a hamstring pull…among tight ends, Lawrence Hart (Rhein Fire) has performed well…Orlando roared past the 5,000 mark in season ticket sales earlier in the week...the Rage, along with radio station WTKS, will host a "Meet the Rage" party on Friday at its practice facility…admission is free and WTKS' "Monsters of the Midday" will broadcast live from the event…the team will also host a press conference at 12 noon to make several important announcements.
