Hey Memphis, here comes the XFL!

Vince McMahon, the Honorable W.W. Herenton (the Mayor of Memphis) and other members of the XFL Executive Committee were in the city on Wednesday to announce that Memphis will be awarded an XFL team for the inaugural season. The Memphis XFL team will play all five of their home games at the legendary Liberty Bowl. On Tuesday, June 13, Chicago was confirmed as the first of the eight charter cities. Kickoff is set for February 3, 2001 with the championship game set for April 21.

Chicago and Orlando have also been named XFL cities!
