WESTERN DIVISION TITLE DECIDED SATURDAY
April 4, 2001

STAMFORD, CONN. - The Western Division title and the final playoff spot in the East will be up for grabs this weekend as the XFL enters week ten, the final regular-season games of its inaugural season.

The San Francisco Demons and Los Angeles Xtreme square off this Saturday night (8:00 p.m. ET on NBC) in the regular-season finale, with the Western Division championship and the right to host the second seed in the East in the first round of the playoffs on the line. The loser will finish as the second seed in the West and travel to Orlando to face the Eastern Division champion Rage, who were 5-0 at home this season.

The second seed in the Eastern Division will either be the Chicago Enforcers or the NY/NJ Hitmen. The Enforcers currently lead the Hitmen by one game, so a Hitmen loss in Birmingham on Sunday (4:00 p.m. ET on TNN) or an Enforcers win over Orlando Sunday night (7:00 p.m. ET on UPN) puts Chicago in the playoffs. If the Hitmen win and the Enforcers lose, the Hitmen go to the post-season by virtue of a tie-breaker. Click here for a breakdown of the playoff scenarios.
