XFL Million Dollar Game Matchups: Xtreme vs. Demons DEFENSE

Matt Keneley, Ramondo Stallings and Jamal Duff lead an Xtreme defensive line that has combined for 16 QB sacks on the year. While the Xtreme D has been vulnerable against the run at times during the season, they have also shined against some of their fellow playoff teams. In Week 1, the Demons gathered 77 yards on the ground and the following week, the XFL's leading rusher, John Avery, was held to 69 yards, which is far below his per game average. Their best game, though? Week 7 against the Rage. Orlando's usually effective running attack managed only 21 yards on the ground. Eric England, Jermaine Miles and Abdul-Salam Noah close the gaps in a hurry, allowing just 85 rushing yards per game. England and Miles are the Demons key pass rushers.

With 21 tackles on the year, Shawn Stuckey heads up the linebacker group for the Xtreme. The punishing Juan Long has had a solid season (21 tackles, 1 sack, 1 QB knocked out), while Errick Herrin and Rico Mack, 18 and 26 tackles respectively, are also strong contributors. John Haskins, James Williams, Craig Powell, quietly get the job done for the Demons, who finished the regular season with the third best defense in the XFL.

The men who make up the Xtreme secondary like to hit. And hit often. Ricky Parker leads the team with 40 tackles, while Leomont Evans has registered 38 and an interception. Dell McGee has two picks to go along with 28 tackles. Regardless of who the Xtreme face, these guys will be up for the challenge. Safety Kevin Kaesviharn leads the group with 39 tackles and three interceptions along side Greg Williams' 34 tackles and INT. Demons are second in the league in pass defense, but this unit must take precautions to prevent the long ball. Four of their opponents' TDs covered greater than 40 yards this year.
