XFL Million Dollar Game Matchups: Xtreme vs. Demons OFFENSE

Tommy Maddox - 196-342 passing, 2,186 yards, 18 TDs, 9 INTs. As Tommy Maddox goes, so go the Xtreme. Had a three game stretch (Weeks 5-7) where he didn't throw one interception -  the Xtreme went 3-0, outscoring their opponents 88-39. When he struggles, though, LA has a tough time putting points on the board. If Tommy finds his groove in the post-season, the Xtreme have a great shot at the $1 million jackpot. Mike Pawlawski - XFL's second leading passer with 1659 yards and 12 touchdown passes despite missing significant playing time due to injury. Completes a league-leading 62.6 percent of his passes. In their first round playoff game, Pat Barnes proved that if Pawlawski is unable to go in the "Million Dollar Game," he is able to help put the money in the bank.

Relying heavily on Rashaan Shehee and Ken Oxendine, the LA running game struggled through the first half of the season. In Week 6, Coach Lu made the switch to Saladin McCullough and Sali began paying dividends immediately. He finished the regular season with 384 rushing yards and 5 TDs. Sali is also a receiving threat out of the backfield. The California native caught 14 passes for 77 yards and a score this season. Terry Battle and Juan Johnson average 4.6 yards per carry between them, but the Demons use their running game sparingly. Pawlawski prefers to deliver the ball to them in the flat rather than in the backfield.

Darnell "D-Mac" McDonald (456 yards and 8 TDs) and Jeremaine Copeland (755 yards and 5 TDs) lead arguably the most talented Ð and entertaining - receivers in the league. Latario Rachal (254 yards) and Damon Gibson (257 yards and 1 TD) have also become steady contributors. Make sure to keep your eye on Cope even after he hits the End Zone. He's bound to drop an "X-Spot" on ya. Brian Roberson and Jimmy "The Jet" Cunningam reel in the majority of Pawlawski passes, sharing 86 catches for 803 yards and 5 touchdowns. James Hundon, Tydus Winans, Brandin Young and Travis Moore also step up to give Pawlawski multiple deadly targets on each passing down.

With a receiving corps as deep as they have and a running game as explosive, the Xtreme tight ends are used mainly for blocking. When they are in the red zone, though, they may look to Josh Wilcox to break free and put some points on the board. With the new 2 and 3 point conversions, Wilcox could become a big weapon in the Xtreme point-after offense. Sean Manuel - Not considered a receiving threat as the Demons have not thrown his way often this year. Must be counted on for blocking support.

Jerry Crafts, Chris Brymer, Jonathan Himebauch, Nate Miller and Bobby Singh anchor one of the best offensive lines in the XFL. This group has only allowed 14 QB sacks all year - even more impressive considering the Xtreme threw the ball 324 times. They seem to have found a comfort zone with McCullough in the backfield and should be able to protect Maddox throughout the post-season, just as they did during the regular season. Yielded 22 sacks this season but has done a fairly solid and consistent job of protecting their quarterback. Has opened some nice holes for John Avery to explode through. Also provided enough cracks for LeShon Johnson to squirt through on PAT attempts. Chicago leads the league in that category, converting on 48 percent of their attempts.
