Enforcers, Hitmen vie for playoff spot
Star running back John Avery isn't about to let a little pain slow him down at this stage of the season. The league's leading rusher will lead his Enforcers into Giants Stadium at 8 p.m. ET Saturday (Broadcast nationally on NBC) to challenge the Hitmen despite having injured his hamstring last week. The loser of this game may have to watch the playoffs on television.

Outlaws, Demons duel for second
San Francisco descends onto Sam Boyd Stadium at 7 p.m. ET Sunday (Broadcast nationally on UPN) to contend against Las Vegas for second place in the Western Division. With the race for the division's final playoff spot mired in a dead heat, this one is a must-win for each team.

Bolts eye huge opportunity
With a 2-6 record, Birmingham's playoff hopes look dim. But should the Bolts upset Eastern Division leader Orlando at 8 p.m. ET Saturday at Legion Field, their outlook will brighten immensely. Quarterback Graham Leigh takes charge in the huddle as the Bolts test Brian Kuklick and the powerful Orlando Rage.

Xtreme looking for payback
The Maniax spoiled the Xtreme's homecoming back in Week 4 and now LA wants to repay the favor. Los Angeles seeks revenge at 4 p.m. ET Sunday (Broadcast nationally on TNN) in the Liberty Bowl. Enforcers monopolize weekly awards
The XFL named Chicago Enforcers RB John Avery as its Offensive Player of the Week and teammate DB Corey Ivy as its Defensive Player of the Week for Week 8. The Windy City duo led the Enforcers to a crucial, 13-0, win over the Birmingham Thunderbolts on Sunday night, giving Chicago control of its playoff destiny.

The dates and times for games during Week 10 have changed. Here are the new dates and times for the final week of regular season play this year:

Expansion committee tours Detroit
Members of the XFL expansion committee today visited Detroit, touring legendary Tiger Stadium and meeting with Mayor Dennis Archer, XFL President Basil V. DeVito, Jr., announced. The trip to Detroit comes two days after league officials visited Washington, D.C. In addition to the tour of Tiger Stadium, which the NFL’s Detroit Lions called home for many years, the party also looked at prospective practice facilities and potential team office space.
